our Daughter
"'You remember yesterday, when we showed you those pictures?"
I asked our 18-year old daughter. "Yes Momma." "Do
you remember the part, wher the man squirted white-stuff in
the little girl, then her tummy got big with his baby growing
inside her?" I deliberatly mis-mentioned the fact that
the "girl" in the book who got pregnant, was MUCH
older than the rest of the young models in the sex-education
manual. I figured that Diane would remember all the little
boys with swollen peters, and little girls with slick little
cracks, and adjust her memory to agreeing with the idea that
one of the teen girls was the one who had the baby. At least,
I hoped so...

- The Party
It was so bloody embarrassing. Here I was at my first ‘in’
party and who was my date? My mother! The girl I was going
to bring had gone down with the stomach cramps and as the
invitation said boys with partner only
I had assumed that I would have to miss it. I was a bit pissed
off as it one of those ‘in’ parties. College had finished
and A levels completed. It was at one of the rich kids houses,
you know, big, impressive, the kind you don’t normally get
invites to. I had only got an invite myself because I had
helped one of the ‘beautiful bunch’ to finish a project and
this I suppose was my reward. And I couldn’t go. ...

- Using
my father's technique.
I guess it's pure luck that I got home
early that day. Still, luck and opportunity come to those
who take advantage of them when the occasion arrives. I had
barely gotten in the door, when I heard voices coming from
my daughter's bedroom. I guess the noise the two were making
in there had kept them from hearing the car pull in, and me
opening the door to put down groceries. "Grandpa,"
came the voice of my daughter; then louder, "Grandpa!"
Dropping my purse, I hurried down the hall; figuring a male
and female voice in my daughter's bedroom at this time of
day could only mean one thing . . . sex. Here I had almost
begun to give up hope; figuring the girl was frigid or (horrible
thought) a lesbian or something. Still . . . her grandfather?
I had really expected the 18-year-old to start with boys her
own age; or if she was turned-on by older men, then someone
her
father's age . . .
